Easter: Celebration and Hope in Spite of Everything
Rev. Dr. Roger Jones preaching with Rev. Lucy Bunch, Worship Associate Celia Buckley, UUSS choir with Music Director Anthony Tavianini, Pianist Irina Tchantceva
It may seem hard to come up with the traditional spirit of hope and celebration in times of loss, grief, division, and fear. Yet the original Easter story took root among desolate and grieving followers of Jesus of Nazareth. It was a time of tyranny and oppression of the vulnerable. What can we learn from them? Perhaps hope and celebration can provide a way forward.
- Tai Chi/Qi Gong at 9:30 in the Fahs Room
- Egg Hunt with Easter Bunny and light lunch and fellowship for families with children after the service and Religious Education program.
